Karting Town SWS Sprint Cup - 08/12/2025
The 28th of November Karting Town SWS Sprint Cup was a major achievement for Tempest Racing team owner and driver Hasan Meeroslav, as it was the date of his first SWS Sprint podium since April of 2025. Let's break down how he managed what he did.
It's Qualifying, Meeroslav is set with 3 kart numbers: 14, 12, and 13. 14 is his qualifying kart, which upon sitting in, he notices a rare detail. The tires of this kart are BRAND NEW, and so is the engine. Knowing this, Meeroslav was incredibly rapid on track. In the first half of qualifying, he jumped up to an already impressive P5 overall, after which he achieved a gargantuan milestone of his first ever SWS Sprint Pole Position. At the end of the session, the final lap, Meeroslav stormed to the flag with a blistering 1:01.5 lap time, smoking P2 by a whole tenth of a second.
Now, to Race 1. He's starting from pole for the first time ever, the pressure building more than ever before. Lights out, and he stays inside, but not enough; Humaid Alketbi manages to squeeze into a gap on Meeroslav's inside and take the lead into T1, after which Meeroslav tumbles down multiple places because of the immense pressure. Towards the end, he is locked in a fierce battle with Mirgap Racing driver M. Esmael, which goes right to the flag, with Meeroslav unfortunately finishing just a tenth behind Esmael. His final finishing position is P9 overall and P3 in Novice Category.
Finally, Race 2. If Meeroslav achieves P3 in his category in this one, it's his first podium since April, and if not, it's heartbreak for the young Bangladeshi. He's on the grid, knowing this, and with a lot of pressure on him. It's lights out, and there's absolute carnage on T1. A few drivers behind Meeroslav forget to brake for the corner, sending him tumbling around on the inside, causing all sorts of chaos to arise. As the race progresses, Meeroslav is locked in a tough battle with FCMB Motorsport driver Rushdhi Muzammil, who he defends from brilliantly in the first half of the race. Coming near to the end, Meeroslav is catching Nicolo Cacciatore, the driver in P9 ahead, by over 3 tenths a lap. The gap reduces very quickly, leaving Cacciatore and Meeroslav to scrap it out in the final lap. However, it's apparent to Meeroslav that an opportunity will not come because he was simply too far off the back of Cacciatore at the beginning of the lap. In the end, a fierce sprint to the finish between Rotax DD2 contender Nicolo Cacciatore and Tempest Racing rising star Hasan Meeroslav, P9 and P10 respectively.
"Quali was a really big shock to me, especially knowing how much of a weight disadvantage I have. Honestly really good race today, just glad there was no one to ruin it. If there was a missed chance, it's all on me. Did what I could but on second thought could have done way more, but that's simply the nature of racing and the power of hindsight." - Hasan Meeroslav on his race
iRacing S3 Nurburgring Endurance Championship Round 8 - 29/08/2026
Round 8 of the 2026 S3 iRacing Nurburgring Endurance Championship was one hell of a rollercoaster, for lack of better words. This race featured a series specific livery made for the 2026 NEC, driven by Hasan Meeroslav for this round. He achieved a mundane P8 in qualifying, and was taken out in the opening stages of the race and dropped down to 27th. This wasn't the end of it. He pushed on and brought home a P5 finish for the team. Watch our livestream of the race below:
